Networking and expertise at the AOWI conference in Lüneburg
In mid-September, Dr. Kyra Göbel, Sara Bergmann, and Lukas Retzer attended the 14th Conference of the section Work, Organizational and Business Psychology of the German Psychological Society together with Engineering Psychology (AOWI Conference) in Lüneburg—and the event was a complete success.
The focus was on exciting presentations, innovative ideas, and personal exchanges with people who are passionate about the same topics.
The Chair of Work and Organizational Psychology made a total of three contributions:
- Dr. Kyra Göbel (research talk in the symposium she organized herself, “Digital Working Environments and Cognitive Self-Regulation: Between Stress and Adaptation”): “Smartphones and Thought Control: The Significance of Digital Distraction for Cognitive Self-Regulation”
- Sara Bergmann (research talk): “Technology as a challenge or threat: Do men and women differ in their perception of technologies in the work context?”
- Lukas Retzer (poster): “Human-robot collaboration in the workplace: Perspectives of workers from three industries where robotization is still rare”
Many thanks to Professor Dr. Laura Venz and her team for the excellent organization and inspiring event!
