VR Workshop at the FAPS Chair

Virtual reality is a promising research environment in which we will be able to simulate various work situations in the future. As a first step, the FORSocialRobots research project aims to investigate reactions to different types of robot behavior in such simulations. To prepare for these studies, our colleague Lukas Retzer, together with Gabriela Garcia from the FAPS Chair at FAU and our student assistant Ashwin Nambiar, organized a workshop at the FAPS premises last Thursday, March 26, 2026. The guests were project partners Dr. Matthias Kraus from the Chair of Human-Centered AI and Raoul Zebisch from the Chair of Production Informatics at the University of Augsburg. During the event, an initial test environment was demonstrated in which human-robot interaction can be experienced in a fictional workplace in the future.
